What God tells us is for our real peace of mind. He loves us. He is kindly towards us in all things and is the God of all comfort.
He wants us to have true comfort so that we are not deceived. To be deceived only to discover it later, is to feel used and angry. The comfort that God gives provides a large picture frame into which everything fits clearly with no contradictions. What He tells us is practical and can be understood even by a simple person or a child. In His framework 'near death experiences' are physical experiences affecting the last moments of life in one who is dying. In death there is no brain activity. It is dangerous to trust our senses and religious sentiments for our comfort. God's answers are straightforward and trustworthy. God’s answers have Bible promises for their foundation. God’s words are our lasting hope. |
