Understanding and coping with bereavement

The Bible tells us that wisdom is something given to us by God and so David is saying: Use all the days of life we are given to get to know God, and this will be a blessing for us.

The eventual blessing of knowing and obeying God is that we have the promise of eternal life, life forever, not just a longer life here.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have a right to the tree of life. Revelation 22:14.

Life and death are the two major themes running through the whole Bible. The 70 years we have now is given us as a ‘time of probation’, an opportunity to see if we will choose to love God and obey Him. We all have this same opportunity.

Today if ye will hear His voice harden not your hearts. Hebrews 3:15
And this is the will of Him that sent me, that everyone that seeth the Son and believeth on Him may have everlasting life and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40

THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH Revelation 21:4 Life will be forever.
