Revelation 16:3 talks about the second of the Seven Last Plagues, which is when the water of the sea will become as blood. When this happens, at the end of the world, the Bible says,
And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea, and it became as the blood of a dead man, and every living soul (psuche) died in the sea.
This means fish and other creatures living in the sea. Living souls (psuche), therefore, can mean living animals and other creatures as well as people. |

Acts 3:23. And it shall come to pass that every soul (psuche), that will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

In other words, every person who would not listen to the counsel of the prophet would be lost.
Paul quotes David in a prophecy about Jesus, |
Acts 2:27. Thou wilt not leave my soul (psuche) in hell.

Hebrews 12:2,3. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds (psuche).
